Histories, Technologies & Politics: shaping culture and memory

Hello!

Had my second class (week 3) yesterday and again, it was great.
We started the class with some discussions about the previous week's reading, Erkki Huhtamo's
Messages on the Wall: An Archaeology of Public Media Displays and then proceeded to talked about some TED Talk videos.

We were then introduced with this week's topic which is 'Histories, Technologies & Politics: shaping culture and memory'.

Altogether, there are two readings for this week's topic which are:

Sean Cubitt - LED Technology and the Shaping of Culture
Andreas Broeckmann - Intimate Publics: Memory, Performance, and Spectacle in Urban Environments

Honestly, both of them are crazy. Especially that Sean Cubitt guy. His article is wayy to technical for me.

Mary Agness then gave us some assignments to do (will be posted next!).

P/S: Sorry no photos this time. I totally forgot to take some! haha

Now off to Paul's class.
As for this week's mini project, we were instructed to produce a few posters about the Suffragette movement. It was definitely my cup of tea as i have always been interested in designing and advertising.

Here's my poster!

According to Paul, my poster looks very polished. haha thanks!
